You are bidding on a very nice 1.73" upper section of a large Tyrannosaurus rex tooth which was found in the Hell Creek Formation on private land with permission in Powder River County, Montana. This T Rex tooth dates back to the Late Cretaceous approximately 66-67 million years ago and was found in one piece as an isolated tooth in an ancient river channel. As you can see, this is not a complete tooth as the tip of this tooth is missing and was not present when this large section was ...found. The enamel on one side is very good but the other side is missing a section of enamel. The serrations however on both carinae are in very good condition. The length of this partial tooth (measured on the diagonal) is 1.73” and is 0.97”width at the root. Please see photos for more details on the condition of this specimen. Apart from the removal of excess matrix during preparation, this is totally as nature preserved it. NO RESERVE ON THIS ITEM SO HAPPY BIDDING! HAPPY TO COMBINE SHIPPING AND REFUND ANY EXTRA POSTAGE IF POSTAGE IS LESS THAN EXPECTED.
