Here is a beautiful facet grade emerald crystal from Jos Plateau, Plateau State, Nigeria. This piece has great transparency and excellent pyramidal modifying terminated faces which are slightly etched, and not just the simple basal pinacoids like those from Colombia. These are considerably more rare than their Colombian cousins and are considered more interesting from a crystallographic standpoint. Very clean piece and in great shape overall The dimensions are 12 by 3.1 by 3 mm and weighs .975 c...arats.
