Doak Ewing and Rare Sports Films Sports Historian Doak Ewing has archived Baseball events and produced sports films since 1985his original format was VHS tape but he has modernized and moved to DVD. There is much to say about the early transfers from film to VHS ...;The crispness of film to tape is in my opinion better than the current DVD transfers especially the sound quality The color films on VHS are very good quality. The source material for this films is some of the best available. The VHS material I am offering was purchased back in in the early 1990's prior to Doak moving to NapiervilleEach tape was literally played only once rewound then placed back in its archival case and properly stored.Doak's work as a Baseball Historian has not gone un-recognized he has been reviewed and praised by many Baseball enthusiasts, sports magazines and collectors. The original price of these tapes was $29.95 plus $5.00 for first class shipping. I am selling off many unusual items from my VHS collection at realistic FAIR prices.Shipping may be combined each additional tape is $1.00 please DO NOT PAY if you intend to Combine VHS tapes simply hit BUY IT NOW build your cart and request a combined invoice.
Having a film Library is a responsibility. Buying film from a responsible person should be part of the process when building your film Library.
VHS I have been promising to list VHS for a few years now and have just now decided it is time. (12/9/2020)
I will carefully check used tapes and report on them, however due to the nature of many users not being careful with tape THERE WILL BE NO RETURNS If a Tape is FACTORY SEALED I have stored it correctly and it can only be returned UNOPENEDOnce opened it has little or no value to me. I have a higher end Sony home unit built in 2004 and it has an automatic tracking feature so tapes do not flutter. Many have earlier units and blame the tape but the reality is they do not have automatic tracking and do not know how to use VHS tape. I recommend a re-winder. Tapes should be "tight" when starting them. When finished you should REWIND. The expression "Be Kind Rewind" was made for a reason. It is good advice outside of VHS rentals which as far as I know no longer exist. I have accumulated many Scarce VHS tapes and common films as well.I hope to establish a place where those looking for films unavailable on disc can find a first generation VHS tape. Transferring from tape to disc will not necessarily give you a great DVD. There is always loss in almost any transfer and I prefer the tape to the disc. I have the equipment to transfer but rarely use it. I reserve this for super Rare films that I fear will survive better on disc than on tape.Tapes should be stored correctly. temperature and humidity changes can effect the longevity of VHS tape.

TECHNICAL ISSUES All DVDs as well as BLU-RAY discs are carefully checked prior to listing. As I do not sell RENTAL ITEMS or non authentic items. There is RARELY if ever an issue with what I sell. If there is an issue I want to know about this so I can resolve it.
THE FUTURE OF THE DISCI am a firm believer in content. I enjoy having the packaging the booklets etc. The beauty of collecting DVD and Blu-ray and now 4K format is not only having control of ownership but having access to many extra hours of material that isunavailable from streaming. I am one that likely has no one favorite film, but more like 10, 000 favorite films. I like knowing any background on the film, the actors and how it was made. I can't tell you how many buy a two disc version of a film and never watch the content (Extra material) on the second disc.TDK HS PREMIUM VHS TAPES 120 6 Hour 10 Pack FACTORY SEALED
