Description/Interesting Notes: A classic, old time example of rhodochrosite from this historic German locale!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of spikey, translucent red crystals of rhodochrosite on a characteristic, darkly colored matrix, accented by a few tiny malachite crystals scattered about!!! ...There are several areas of showy crystals scattered throughout the specimen!!! Despite a few a areas of incomplete crystals, the main areas are largely in fantastic condition and the specimen displays gorgeously in person!!! This specimen is from the famed rhodochrosite collection of Dr. Bill Logan - who literally wrote the book on the subject - "Rhodochrosite: Crystals of Drama and Nuance"!!! The specimen retains its original Logan Collection label and affixed catalogue number as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
