Japanese name：Madaka awabi(マダカアワビ/眼高鮑)It is the rarest and largest abalone in Japan. Also, in recent years, no such giant individuals over 20 cm have been c...aptured and only old collections are available. This specimen is surprisingly over 22 cm in size. And it is a very wide, heavy and strong individual. This type of giant shell is rare in Japan and is worth hundreds of dollars. Very rarely, a local fisherman owns a large example of this shell. But they don't easily give us such a giant abalone.
