• Porcelain Opaque de Gien• Brown Transfer Cats Watching Birds• Bottle; Jar (the shape is sometimes advertised as a vase)• Antique c.1886-1891• Measurements: 2 1/2" outer diameter and 4" high• Weight, prepackaged: 6.4 oz
• Condition: The bottle has significant crazing and staining as seen in the photos. It is free of chips, cracks, fleabites and hairlines. The cock stopper is in good condition with signs of age. The interior is clean but has a perfume smell, ...perhaps from it's original contents. The bottom is marked "Porcelain Opaque de Gien" around it's crowned banner trademark used from 1886 until 1938, but is not marked "France" above making it's likely production from 1886 to 1891. While not in perfect condition, it's a great scene and wonderful piece for a transferware collection.
