This colorful Victorian paisley/boteh Kashmir wool, ladies shawl was woven probably in Scotland, measures 130" in length with 3" fringe on both ends and is 63 1/4" wide with green selvage sides. This shawl has a intricate paisley pattern with a silk black star flower medallion in the center and the ends are a rainbow of colored paisley badges and multi-colored fringe. This shawl is made with 10 different colors, crimson red, black, light turquoise blue, orange, white, golden yellow, gr...een, gray, pink and brown. Estimated age 1840's to 1860's. I purchased this at an estate sale in Portland, Maine and it was lovingly preserved in it's own box with tissue paper. Please see above for condition and please don't hesitate to ask me questions.
