18th Century 1799 Document Of Sale 90 Pounds for Negro Girl Phillis Early VERY RARE 18th Century Document Aug 13th 1799 measuring approx. 7 x 7 with normal folds, no rips or tears,   bold ink and the reverse has mounting traces from an album. The document is a receipt of sale, I have this day sold to John Benton his heirs or assigners a certain Negro girl Phillis for price of ninety pounds which I do by these present warrants for ever and deferred from me my heirs and fr...om every other person or persons given under my hand this 13th August 1799 signed Alice Watkins Witness Thomas Buford Lances Mc Kinzie.  Documents from this period in American history are very very rare especially in this good condition.
