Original Description:
This listing is for an antique, circa 1890s, French figural bronze of a satyr with a cherubic figure and a goose mounted on a black marble base. The piece measures 7 1/4 inches or 18.4 cm high, and is 7 1/2 inches or 19 cm wide at the base. The bronze shows a figure of a satyr with a goose attacking his leg while he embraces the nude cherub figure standing next to him. The figures have excellent attention to detail throughout. It has a black patina or color which is all original to th...e piece. The bronze figural group sits on a black marble base. The condition overall is very good, there are some variations to the original patina.
