SOUTH AFRICA BOER WAR 1900 Mafeking Siege 1/- Shilling + COUNTERFOIL! PMG 64 EPQ
Boer War - Siege of Mafeking.
1 Shillings January 1900, 'Issued by the Authority of Colonel R.S.S. Baden-Powell', with embossed 'Bechuanaland Protectorate / One Penny' embossed duty stamp,
with numbered counterfoil at left, showing it came from a special booklet (most of these notes were issued in stapled pads without any counterfoil).
Choice UNC with note in absolu...tely pristine fresh original condition.
Pick S651a cat US$1500+++ plus large premium for the intact counterfoil.
This originates from a partial booklet ex John Ineson collection, and previously no examples with intact counterfoils were recorded.
In any case any Mafeking notes extremely rare in such high grade - the previous example from same source that I sold at local auction here sold for equivalent of US$2000 + buyers commission = $2400 a while ago.

or
$18.00 - $30.00 "Standard Shipping" = priority airmail packet with tracking number & private insurance coverage. (nice stamps will be used for postage!)
or
$30.00-$100.00 "Expedited Shipping" = Express Mail EMS packet with online tracking & private insurance coverage (nice stamps will be used for postage!), or by Fedex courier.
The cheapest "Economy Shipping" option is only for lower value items that are being sent to countries with safe postal systems. More expensive safer shipping methods sometimes required for certain countries, or certain buyers, which will be at my absolute discretion, according to what I consider that this is necessary to ensure safe delivery of the items to the buyer.
For countries with risky postal systems such as Russia / Italy / Latin America / India / China etc, shipping will be required by Standard/Registered/Expedited shipping that is tracked/insured.
Purchases to anywhere that are around $1000 or above will generally only be sent by Express Mail as from experience that is the safest shipping method.
