REAL LIFE MINIATURES - Kitchen AND Music Room

***** Note that part of this auction says there is a “kitchen and dining room”. It was a “fill in the form” section where I could not specify kitchen without it also saying dining room. There is no dining room. *****I call it “used” because it is “open box”. Nothing ever assembled.
To keep this simple, and likely inexpensive, I am in...cluding BOTH sets in this sale. We bought them in the mid 1970’s and just kept them on a shelf. We looked inside from time to time, but built one or two other sets and kept these for “later”.
“Famous last words”, I suppose, but I am pretty darn sure that these are pretty darn complete. For what you are likely to pay to own BOTH of these sets, I think you will be extremely pleased. I did not want to handle the items any more than necessary. The wood pieces are very thin. While it appears that some of the wood pieces could be missing, the fact is that some of the computer cut wood parts came loose from the “master” wood piece it had been attached to. They were never ‘perforated’. They separate very easily and smoothly for assembly, which is a better way of doing it than having tiny perforations that you would have to sand away. “Apparent” missing pieces (very few) could be floating around loose in the box.
As I carefully went through the contents, I noticed one or two very small pieces that were missing from their ‘hole’ as part of a larger board. One of the boards in the music room box has a hole shaped like the body of a violin....so the violin might be missing...OR...it may be floating around in the bottom of the box. These were supplied with glue, and possibly with stain and varnish. Some of that may be there, but it will be dried up. You will have to supply stain and glue, along with varnish.‘In the day’, we assembled a DINING ROOM and a LIVING ROOM. They were amazing! There is SUCH detail. You will have a great feeling of accomplishment to assemble this stuff. There is MUCH spare thin wood in each kit. If you can get clever with an exacto knife, you will be able to replace small parts, if necessary. The form of the violin shows as a hole on one of the wood pieces. You would be able to trace the outline onto a piece of spare wood. In a similar manner, I believe there is ONE TEENSY leg missing from something that is either one of the legs of a tri-legged chair or music stand. Its hole is obvious and could be recreated in a similar manner OR, as I say, you will have a chance to find these items in the bottom of the box.
If, for some reason, these items don’t sell, I will probably assemble them rather than give them to the thrift shop.
That’s about all I have to say. We don’t have much dollhouse stuff any more.....but I’m starting to think I might take a shot at this stuff if it still ends up being mine after the auction!
Thanks for visiting my sale!

PS. The last picture is a set of decals from the kitchen kit. I separated it because when I took pictures of it showing inside the box, it appeared to have a horrible stain on it. That is due to the highly reflective surface. It is in PERFECT condition!
