WHAT A FABULOUS ANTIQUE HALLMARKED FRENCH PAIR OF SILVER LIDDED TUREENS. IT IS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY. And of a stunning weight and very special being in such fine order. Of round form.A quite fabulous mid 19th century hallmarked silver pair of items.It has a most attractive shape.Assayed in Paris, circa 1840. Features a Minerva mark and a maker's mark too, Hallmarked on each dish to the base and rim of lid.Each is engraved twice and al...ways has been, definitely no erasures either (refer to image).ESTO QUOD ESSE VIDERIS which translates into '' Be That Which You Seem To Be''.This is a motto of The Coke Family.Each lovely item is very large at 11 inches in width. Height is 5.5 inches.They are wonderful dishes.Definitely one for the collectors!A truly special antique lot well worth owning.The condition is very good and all it needs is to be used. One has a couple of dents to the base, a good silversmith would improve this easily.Would make a very nice present indeed. Each lovely dish is of exceptional quality and is a most delightful piece of hefty table silver.
