The keys were tested and worked, with some just needing a little oil for return to their original position. I personally love the little note on the inside of the case which reads "To Nina From Mother 1920". I never find stuff like this...weighs a good bit..very well built... solid metals..this is just the engine...you need steam source to run it..polish it up it would be a piece of art..look killer on any desk or shelf...its dirty and dusty..your getting it as found..so i oiled it up..ran some compressed air to it and it runs...will ship well packed and insured..... I know this is worth more then i have it listed for..its a 2 cylinder..find another...ha ha you wont..buy it before i decide to keep i...t....

Up for your consideration is an antique Hammond Model 2 Typewriter. Serial Number 49679. The typewriter is missing the wooden top. Typewriter seems to work but it is very old and sold AS IS only, with defects. It looks to be missing one key, the wooden base is scratched up and the varnish is coming off, the roller is cracked, probably needs new ink rolls, it is dirtyoily and needs thoroughly cleaned etc. Also on the right side, there is an area that looks gold. I don't know if paint or something... got on it or if at one time, someone tried to repair a break in the metal. I don't see any breaks but I am not sure what is under the gold colored paint or whatever it is. Again, this item is sold AS IS only.
