This is a tremendous looking and VERY RARE vintage ROLEX stainless steel 14K yellow gold MEN's DATEJUST "THUNDERBIRD" watch. It is in outstanding condition throughout and comes with a beautiful original CHAMPAGNE dial and famous 14K yellow gold turn-o-graph "Thunderbird" bezel. So called the "Thunderbird" due it being the watch of choice for the famous USAF THUNDERBIRD aerobatic team. It is a reference number 1625 and 1878xxxx serial number. The caseback is marked IV.68 for fourth quarter 1968 f...or its manufacture date. This comes on a generously sized stainless steel 14K yellow gold "Jubilee" bracelet in excellent condition as shown. It features an automatic "non-quick-set" Rolex movement and is running great. This did not comes with box or paperwork, but is 100 guaranteed authentic and accurate as written. It is being offered to you with NO RESERVE Movement: Rolex 26 jewel, automatic movement, with date Calibre 1570. This is a "non-quickset", which means the date cannot be changed independently without the hour hand passing midnight. Running great and winds easily. From our limited observation it appears to be keeping good time, but has not been timed professionally. So we cannot guarantee it is keeping time in accordance with Rolex factory specifications. Bracelet: Stainless steel 14K yellow gold "Jubilee" bracelet. It is in nice condition with expected droop from one of this age, but looks great on the wrist. It is generously sized and should fit most as it is huge on my 7 12 inch wrist.Case: Stainless steel 36mm wide case (not including lugs or crown) with: 14K yellow gold rotational "Thunderbird" bezel 14K yellow gold signed Rolex crown and solid caseback.Crystal: Rolex scratch resistant plastic crystal.
