8 PC Vintage Mid Century BRYCE Crystal Barware OPTIC Spool Stem MARTINI & BRANDY
Item History & Price
Please excuse any glare in the photos. This auction is for 8 pieces of vintage stemware. Based on the diamond pattern and the spooled stem, these are believed to be made by the Bryce Brothers Company. They were known for producing b...lown crystal glassware up until 1965. This lot features 4 brandy glasses and 4 martini glasses. Each features the textured optic diamond pattern and a stacked spool stem. The optic pattern is very unusual looking and the spool stem is modern. The martini glasses measure 4.00" in height. Each is 2.75" across the top and sits on a round base that is 2.50" across. The stem is about 1.25". Together these weigh (unwrapped) 1 pound 10 ounces. The brady-looking glasses are a bit taller at 4.25". They are a little over 2.00" across the top and sit on a base that is also a little over 2.00" across. These stems are 2.00" in length. Together these weigh (unwrapped) 14 ounces. All measurements are approximates. Due to the blown nature of production, measurements will slightly vary from one piece to the other. This lot is preowned. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, or staining to the glasses. When held up to bright, natural light you can see some light scratching to the bowls of the martini glasses. You have to be looking for this, it is not noticeable otherwise and certainly does not detract from their impressive appearance. There is also light scratching around the outside bottom of the bases. The brandy glasses are without much noticeable scratching, either in the bowls or on the bases. These do not appear to have seen much use, whereas the martini glasses show evidence of typical use.
Not all production anomalies that occur with blown crystal glass are mentioned (bubbles). Please review the images carefully since they are provided as a part of the description.
Once properly packaged the overall weight will be between 3 and 4 pounds. All fit in a medium priority flat rate mailing box for a maximum cost of $15.05. If you are located within a close proximity to California the shipping might be cheaper. Shoot me a message with your zip for an exact quote if needed.
A note about 'vintage' pieces: they are to be considered preowned. Evidence of some use should be expected, but damage WILL BE described and photographed.
Invoicing: Invoices are automatically sent after the close of an auction with what 'should' include the cost of shipping. The Ebay shipping calculator does NOT take into account priority mail Flat Rate shipping costs or Rate A of Rate B boxes, unless specified by the seller. It is important to me that winners are only charged the actual cost of shipping and/or insurance, especially if I have stated a specific cost in my listing. Please do not hesitate to message me if you think an Ebay invoice is incorrect or even if you would like me to double check shipping costs to your location. Often I cannot determine and actual shipping cost until I receive a buyer's zip code and consider the size of the box necessary for safe shipping. Combined shipping can also save you money. Your satisfaction with the item and how it gets to you is a priority. Shipping: This item will be shipped within the continental United States using the U.S. priority mail service. The most economical priority mail service will be used to ship this item to the winning bidder. Insurance is included up to a value of $50.00. Additional insurance may be purchased by the buyer upon request.
International interest is appreciated and considered by the seller. Shipping quotes are to be requested prior to bidding or buying. The seller will determine the international shipping method. Import duties or taxes are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the responsibility of the buyer.
Return Policy: Of course I do this to earn a buck or two, but I am not in this to rip people off. I do everything possible to be transparent when listing items. I do accept returns on the condition that I made an egregious error in the listing and misrepresented the item. Please be a responsible bidder and review the listing in its entirety and ask questions prior to bidding. Enjoy your day!
Payment Policy: Payment is due within 5 days of the auction's close. If payment is not received within 5 days, the transaction will be canceled and the item will be offered to the second highest bidder as a "Second Chance".
