A pair of Le Corbusier LC2 Petite Modele club chairs by Cassina. Made in Italy in the 1980s.

Armchair with polished trivalent chrome plated (CR3) steel frame. Loose cushions with polyurethane foam and polyester padding. Leather upholstery. Yet another timeless classic, one that made design history. Designed in 1928 and shown for the first time at the Salon d’automne, in Paris, in 1929, this was the archetypal armchair in that it expressed all t...hat was new and modern about furniture, which was now beginning to be seen as “domestic equipment”. The careful separation of the caged frame from its inner cushions are a concrete affirmation of the chair’s Rationalist approach. A true classic.
