Antique Chinese Door Cover with Heavily Embossed Silver Dragons and Pom Poms Chasing the Fiery Pearl- Early 20th C.
In the center the fiery pearl has two white cranes beautifully embroidered. The two Dragons have orange and pink flames coming out of their mouths. Their bodies are metallic silver thread emboideries that have padding so that they are raised. The metallic thread looks like scales. This is all on a base of turquoise silk edged with yellow. There is a border of yellow an...d orange and white flowers. A lively piece.
Dimensions: Silk embroidery W:31.5” x 31.5”. Blue cotton band at top: 3"
Condition: fair to good one red pompon is missing the thread there is loose. There is a few small holes in the silk. Blue cotton top has a small tear
