Description/Interesting Notes: An incredible example of this rare and legendary find of stephanite from the Husky Mine!!! These specimens were collected by Joe Weinholtzner in 1976 and represent one of the most incredible and unique examples of the species known!!! This remote and long-since-flooded locality produced a small quantity of u...nusually iridescent polybasite and stephanite crystals (with the stephanite crystals being dramatically more rare)!!! This is a magnificent example of stephanite for this amazing and unique find!!! With the exception of the bottom of the crystal, it is complete and undamaged (to find specimens in great condition is quite rare in itself because, as the story goes every one of the specimens from the find were kept loose in single coffee can!!!) The crystal is incredibly complex and much more sharp and detailed than it appears in the pics!!! The crystal has gorgeous iridescence that is much more dramatic than the pics show with dominant magenta-pink and green tones - it is truly stunning in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
