This one-of-a-kindpiece of petrified wood is entirely calcitized. It has an extraordinary pattern, which is the result of "pocket rot fungus" during thefossilization process. This was personally collected from northeastern Arizona.This wood is from theTriassic period, which makes it approximately 220 million years old. This piece weighs 13 OZ. It has been cut smooth onone side, which exhibits an outstanding design.
