PHOTOGRAPH, ALFRED FOSTER WALCOTT (1840-1906) IN CIVIL WAR UNIFORM (CAPTAIN IN MASSACHUSETTES INFANTRY)You are bidding on a civil war era wet-plate photograph of a handsome man named Alfred Foster Walcott (1840-1906), who served in the civil war, eventually as a Captain in the Massachusetts Infantry. He is also the individual who traveled to China in the 1870s to acquire the Chinese items we have for sale right now. This is a photograph of him in his Civil War... uniform, framed in a brass frame. The photo is about 3-1/2" by 5-1/4." It has not been examined out of the frame, but there is no apparent damage.
