It's a show-stopper! This gorgeous chenille bedspread is full-size and is shown in the photos on a full-size bed. The spread has the beautiful peacock as the focal point but the other details are just as striking and pretty. The pinks, purples and whites are on a snowy white background. The section that covers the pillows is a floral design. A border of flowers, rimmed with purple curlicues, outlines the bed. Rows of white chenille circles is interspersed with rows of purple along the ...sides and the end. The corners are gracefully rounded.
This piece is in beautiful vintage condition and is full-size. It measures 90 x 100". It drapes to the floor. It is most likely 100% cotton, although there are no tags. It was possibly made in Georgia.
Patty Penke writes in a blog regarding chenille peacock bedspreads, " Peacock Alley is located on U.S. Hwy 41, which goes through Dalton, GA....Folks on the way to vacation in Florida were able to view these spreads....and it was called "Peacock Alley."
