One IMPORTANT note on what's included and not included. I DO NOT have a rear cap for this lens. Instead, I have an adapter that adapts this lens to Contax 645 that is completely removable. You can feel free to throw this away but I am using it as a lens cap (the adapter itself has a lens cap and is included). Also, the front lens cap is a Schnieder Kreuznach lens cap, but I'm not sure if it's made for this particular lens. I got it to fit the filter and it may or may not be original to this lens. I am including the lens filter. I have always used the filter on the lens. I recommend keeping it on the lens myself. So, what you are really getting is an awesome lens, with a filter, and workable front/rear caps but not original. Please bid accordingly.
And, I cannot help myself to say that although I have long since sold my medium format equipment (my Contax 645), this was my absolute favorite lens for the setup. I have included the MTF's that are specific to this lens, and if you know how to read MTF's you will be able to tell that this lens is incredibly contrasty and sharp. Most "normal" 80mm lenses for medium format cameras are sort of the cheap end of the lineup, but somehow for the Exakta camera this was originally for the Schneider people went all out and created a remarkable lens even by today's standards. I have one picture I took with this lens on a 60MP Phase One back I blew up to wall sized and it was just breathtaking, so incredibly sharp and contrasty. And, it takes incredibly sharp pictures at close up range too, if that's a consideration. Many lenses lose their sparkle close up, but not this one.
In any event, good luck bidding!
