This is a very rare and beautiful Leica SCNOO Rapid Winder. Black and Nickel finish. 100% Original. NO repainting. Perfect working condition. No damage to the cloth ribbon. The spring tension is perfect. This is from my personal collection and you will not see a better example. I rate it as 99% Mint with a few very light brightmarks on the base.
The SCNOO replaced the baseplate on pre IIIc Leicas. Leicas before 159, 000 needed a modified winder spindle to attach i...t. Leicas before 111, 450 needed to have the larger diameter baseplate pin installed before it would fit. This would date from the late 1930's.
The Leica display stand is not included.
