A fine and very rare Victorian sterling silver three piece tea servicein the Cellini pattern.Based upon original art work from the Renaissance age.

Period engraved raised star fish family crest, flanked by grazing mountain goatfruit and floral displays.Below classical torsos atop stand, above alternating demon and maiden masks and tear drop fluting.Cover retains the original flower decorated beaded edge bell finial, with originalfastener below.Collar and panel flower decorated demon mount spout.Boldly cast tapering caryatid (maiden head and torso) handles.Atop mask and leaf decorated two step base.
This rare 1881 British Cellini maiden handle teapot is 10 inches
and the complete set weighs a bit over 52 standard ounces.
In very fine condition.
Rich sterling throughout.
