for auction a Early L S Starrett 4'' machinist square. . It is as found. It could use some minor cleaning. It is an Early version and it has 2 patent dates. first is May 6 1879. The second is Oct 19 1880. ( see pictures 4 & 5). The blade is good. There is some very minor pitting on the blade. All of the increments on the rule are legible. The locking mechanism is working well. The spring is underneath the tightening screw. Please see pictures for condition. ...Ask questions before you bid.
