Up for bid is a super rare Pinback button. It appears to be near mint, as I see no type of damage. This measures 1 1/4 in diameter. On the front is a picture of the two candidates the year on the column in the center reads 1904. I see no cracks breaks or chips in the piece. On the inside it reads "Buttons made by the whitehead and Hoag co. Newark N.J., U.S.A. pat. April 14, 1896, July 21, 1896". I see no rust anywhere. The two candidates ...are Eugene V. Debs and Ben. Hanford, evidently part of the American Socialist Party! There is writing at the bottom of the buton underneath the word Candidates that reads " copyright 1904, the whitehead Hoag co, Newark, N.J.". This is an Original Pinback in great shape. Please ask questions before bidding.
