WW2 Randall No.1, 8 Inch Fighting Knife Pictured In "Randall Military Models" by Robert Hunt on pages 122 and 123. Etched name on blade to "Charles F. Luedtke U.S.M.C.". See text from book in photos for further details. Additionally the sheath is pictured on pages 258 and 259 as a rare example of a WW2 era Southern Saddelry sheath. A copy of the book is included with the knife. Blade shows use, rust pitting, age graying, and light sharpening. Guard has a beautiful da...rk patina. Aluminum pommel with steel thong loop retained by copper nut. Original leather thong. Leather handle shows use, with the usual scuffs and minor dings, but overall is very good. Sheath shows age, scuffing, and wear. No markings on sheath. Original thick gray sharpening stone. The leather leg thong shown in the book photo has been lost. Formerly in the Dick Raynor collection. A great well documented WW2 Randall with U.S.M.C. history.
