Wonderful Hay Budden Blacksmith Anvil Forge Iron Welding KNIFE MAKER 133 Lbs

Good  morning folks...Today I am very pleased to offer to Collectors and Smiths this 133 Lb  two piece Hay Budden Blacksmith Anvil (2 piece means the whole top half of the anvil including the horn was made at the Hay Budden Factory out of High Grade crucible steel much better than just a top plate that can wear out over time, this will never wear out) Anvil rings like a bell, ring it with your fingernail, and it also has a tremendous rebound. Hay Budden anvils were and still ...are known worldwide as the Rolls Royce of anvils, and this one is no exception. The serial number of 175333 denotes that the anvil was made in 1910, The anvil has one very square edge on the face, and one that is square and slightly rounded in a spot near the horn, and a couple smaller chips father back, nothing much, just mention to be accurate.(see pics) Somebody has at sometime or other blunted the end of the horn slightly, this can be seen in one of my pics. This is a very nice anvil, with an almost hand chiseled look, with an upswept horn, and a manageable weight, should you decide to take it to a blacksmith exhibition..Specs are as follows..Overall Length is 26 1/2" The face is 16 1/4" the hardy hole is 1" and very square, the prichel is 1/2" the height is 10 1/4" the weight is 133 lbs the serial number is 175333 and the anvil is signed on the side HAY BUDDEN MANUFACTURING CO BROOKLYN NY.Anvil has been lightly cleaned and preserved with linseed oil..Shipping will be by Fastenal freight, or convention freight hauler depending what your zip code is I can ship this to Alaska  Pick it up at my house in southern Maine is an option....Shipping is very reasonable as well...HONEST, OLD AND FRESH TO THE HOBBY....................Will be listing a smaller anvil on a separate listing you might want to check that one out I can combine shipping
