<> CIRCA 1890 RARE KELLY PERFECT AXE HEAD EMBOSSED ON ONE SIDE! <> Axe is 30"L with a 7"L head that has a 4 1/2"W cutting edge. <> Axe head is embossed on one side "W.C.KELLY PERFECT AXE PATENTED SEPT.29 1885 MADE BY KELLY AXE MFG CO.LOUISVILLE KENTUCKY U.S.A.". <> Comes with a 30"L new old stock dark stain sound handle that has a somewhat pronounced si...de bend + is mkd "GENUINE HICKORY". <> The handle is removable + I have not set the wedge just in case you might prefer a different handle. <> Axe head is in very good condition with 80% detail remaining , has some pitting , dings , scratches + strike marks on surface + edge. <> Axes eye is in good shape with no denting or distortion + the blade edge is somewhat sharp with no nicks , just in need of some honing.
