This listing is for a beautiful antique Chinese silk robe with gold metallic thread embroidery and a floral and insect motif. It is all hand made and measures 42 inches or 106.6 cm long from the collar the bottom hem line at the back. It is 24 inches or 61 cm wide from armpit to armpit across the back. The robe mostly consists of black silk fabric with wide blue cuffs and a cream border around the neck and front edges. The interior is lined with a natural linen fabric in a vibrant gol...den yellow color. It is embroidered with sprigs and bouquets of flowers and accented with gold metallic thread and insects. The condition is as follows; there is some fraying to the fabric around the neck and collar and the loops for the buttons have torn over time.
