Welcome! For auction is this old Chinese painting on silk. It looks like it was part of an album as there are glue and paper remnants on the back sides which would have been attached accordion style to other paintings. It folds at the center but this does not affect the painting or calligraphy. Reverse with glue remnants, foxing, soiling and the like. Bumps and creases to corners and edges. Painting itself measures appx. 10 7/8 x 12 1/8". Same for the calligraphy. Painting is on silk a...nd has two seals in the lower right, which I believe are those of Qiu Ying. Painting is generally in decent shape, with some light soiling and wear, and a few scattered small stains. Calligraphy sheet has loss to several characters at lower right and in general on the right side near fold. General scattered stains, soiling and wear. Calligraphy is done on paper and not silk. Interior of mounting around sheets has foxing, soiling and wear, and there are small tears at the ends at the fold. Lovely painting. Not by Qiu Ying I am sure, and I would date it to the late 19th century or so. Please see images for details. Shipping is via Priority Mail to the US only and sales tax charged as applicable.
