we are happy to accept payment by cheque or bank transferan extremely fine and very rare example of an early liberty & co tudric art nouveau pewter & enamel humidor, the design number 01021 indicates build date of 1908/9, its rarity comes from the wonderful enamel plaque with its distinctive circlet of flowers being designed by one of the glasgow girls Jessie M King, the enamel being set into the cushion shaped lid, lifting the lid reveals the ...;original cedar wood lining which is intact with only a small stain the one corner of the lid, it was produced in the art nouveau jugendstil secessionist era of around 1908/9 at the same time as the german firms of wmf, kayserzinn and orivit were producing similar pieces of art nouveau pewter, made by William haselers of Birmingham for the liberty & co tudric pewter ware range, they also made the cymric range of silver ware, fully marked with the design number 01021 plus the sought after made by liberty & co stamps to the base, this dating to around 1908 and easily recognisable as coming from the iconic designs of archibald knox and others, the pewter is in a polished condition with absolutely no damage to the wonderful enamel, the overall condition is superb so a wonderful display piece.it measures 6.75" x 3.5" x 2.5" high, if you require any further information, please send an e-mail and I will get back to you.
