Woodrow Wilson (1856-1924) signed this typed letter to Mr. George B. Byxbee of Brooklyn, NY in June of 1911, while he was serving in his first year as Governor of New Jersey. He writes: “My dear Mr. Byxbee:- I take pleasure in sending you my autograph and am pleased that you should desire it.”Woodrow Wilson was elected to be the 28th President of the United States (1913-1921) after serving as the 34th Governor of New Jersey (1911-1913). His presidency was marked by the passage of n...umerous pieces of progressive legislation and for his leadership through World War I. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1919 for his role in the creation of the League of Nations.Typed on a 9 ¾” x 7 7/8” sheet of “State of New Jersey Executive Department” imprinted stationery.
