Vintage Auto Knitter CSM Circular Sock Machine Stand I am relisting this Auto Knitter Stand, because before not dissemblance, the shipping was to high, and winner canceled the winning bid. But I was grateful because it gave me the courage to contact my auto mechanic to see if he could safely disassemble the Autoknitter CSM stand. I was delighted that he could, so I am relisting the stand at a much more reasonable shipping. See below
This is my personal Auto Kn...itter Stand, I received in 1990. MyDad found it in an antique store, and the auto knitter that was on it was dilapidated, but he knew I wanted a stand for my Auto knitter CSM, so he got it for me. My husband disassembled the auto knitter andkept the parts (auctioned separate) and restored the stand for me. This Auto Knitter Circular Sock Knitting Machine Stand is ingood condition for an antique with the normal marks of age and use. The auto knitter book was copyright 1922, sothis is probably over 100 years old. My husband removed all rust and paintedthe stand for me back in 1990. And I used it for my personal auto knitter CSM which is auctioned at this time separately.
Since I am getting into the retirement mode, it is time forme to start to part with my equipment, books, etc. so someone else can get thejoy out of it that I have. Please look at all the photos. They show the stand, close up of the Auto Knittername, top of stand where it had two compartments: one for the main cylinderneedles and one for the ribber needles, holders for two bobbins, and the undersideof the stand top which showed where the clamps of the auto knitter fastened tothe stand. There is an additional photo of the disassembled stand, my auto mechanic labeled all parts for matching numbers for reassembly.
