I recently purchased this antique Gearhart Knitting Machine, stand, and wooden shipping box at a sale. I printed out a 27 page manual that was published in 1922, though I'm not sure if I have the correct model. I can't find a date on the machine. There is a shipping paper on the outside of the box, but I'm unable to read the year. I've tried to take pictures of all the pieces that came with it. There are 3 wooden spools, 2 large and 1 small. There are 2 jars of parts. Inside one is a p...aper with a penciled note that says "needles ribber 60-80". The envelope these came in was also inside calling them Cylinder Pin Clip: This clip is to be snapped over the end of cylinder pin inside of cylinder and used when knitting Children's Hose. To be removed when knitting other kinds of hose." The second jar also has an original paper inside: Gearharts Allwear Knitting Outfit, 50 needles for Ribber Dial Number 50, Guage Number 24." If you would like additional pictures please send me a note. I do not know if this machine works. If someone from a knitting society or club has more information I would welcome it! I may have to ship in 2-3 different boxes to ensure it's safety (it's heavy - total weight is around 55 pounds). I will also allow local pick up.I've had a question about the cams. There are 2 cams on the floor with a piece on top. One top piece has "50 slot dial" stamped on it. The cam below it has 100 slots around it. The other top piece has "30 slot dial" stamped on it. The cam below it has 60 slots around the sides. The top piece on the stand had 40 slots; the cam below has 80 slots around it.
