This is a Japanese WWll Naval officer`s sword in kaigunto mountings. The blade is signed "Tenshozan Tanrenjo kitae kore 天照山鍛錬場鍛之", dated "Showa Juhachi-nen go-gatsu hi (a day May, 1943) 昭和十八年五月" with anchor stamp, shinogi-zukuri shape, WWll time period made blade. The blade is made of anti rust steel, in original polish, no rust, no stain and in excellent condition. &...nbsp; The temper line is wavy chusuguba temper pattern throughout the blade and has deep temper at the point. There is no bend, no nick, no crack and cutting edge is sharp. The scabbard is ray-skin covered scabbard, no tear, no dent, no crack, no bend and in good condition. The handle is tight fit, tsuka-ito wrapping no cut, no loose also in good condition. Tsuba and seppa are matched number 115 stamped. It came with brown Naval sword tassel, no cut no fade and in good condition. It measures 26+7/8" tip to the guard, 26" cutting edge, 1+1/4" width, 7.5 mm thickness at the notch and 38+1/4" in mountings. Shipping is $25 priority in U.S. Payment dues within 3 days auction end.
