This is a Vintage Garrett, BFO, The Discriminator metal detector in GREAT CONDITION!!! It takes 3 9v batteries (not included) and has been TESTED and it is WORKING!!! We even tested it with a 10k Gold wedding band and it detected it!!! We really don't know how to properly set it to find treasures buried in the ground, but the noise/pitch changed every time we moved it across metal, dime, quarter and the ring. The bottom round coil measures approximately 5 3/4" in diameter. I...t has a few scuffs etc from storage & use but overall this is in GREAT Shape!!!
