This is a 19th century needlepoint embroidery depicting a mother with her young child and a baby in one arm. The whole is an oval shape within an oblong and sadly the outer oblong has had the four corners cut and removed however due to the oval shape of the main picture this could be framed with a mount to cover the outer border. The colours are still good and I think the embroidery has been worked using fine wools. The overall size is 55cms x 60cms approx. General condition is very go...od apart from that already mentioned but I will just add that there are a few stitches missing here and there. A really lovely Victorian tapestry.
