Steineck A.B.C 'Spy Watch' Vintage Camera - produced between 1948-1951.
Purchased this from Italy on a complete impulse as I was fascinated with the history and wanted to see if I could try to take a picture with this but I don't have the time for this project and it has sat for over a month so time to go.
The background is that it was found in a cellar in Italy where it had been left for years by a former occupant. The sale history is missing so I was unable to locate ...who originally owned this, perhaps intentionally so given the history of these items. This camera's viewfinder mirror is also removed. This is just the camera for sale, the original box and any accessories were not located with the camera.
Since receiving the item I have not opened its case, it is possible that film is still inside yet to be processed (which would be great) however I have neither the tools, expertise or time to focus on this project. The only thing I have done is take off the straps to find the serial number which is 227A making it one of the earlier production models. It's clear that this item has seen more history and was used more frequently than others I have seen which makes its background all the more intriguing.
