I don't think that there was any copper p...roduction at the Llanada mine---I can find no references to any production numbers. This mine is best known for its turquoise and nissonite (the Llanada mine is the type locality) specimens---still, the mine is no doubt virtually unknown except for California collectors and specialists and perhaps micromount species collectors. Both pieces show turquoise with dark riebeckite and an unknown blue mineral that may be chrysocolla or nissonite---it is not turquoise. The turquoise has that typical porcelaneous look while some of the unknown blue looks somewhat radiating to fibrous under magnification. And riebeckite is believed to be the dark mineral owing to the size of some of the rough crystals on the larger piece. Mindat.org does not list riebeckite but rather glaucophane but the classic Handbook of Mineralogy mentions the association as riebeckite.
