Huge 54” Empire Mahogany Split Pedestal Base Claw Foot Dining Room Table

This is a class example of the Empire style mahogany dining room table, with a really nice, big base featuring very large claw feet. Its in good overall condition but not great, showing some wear (but no damage) here and there. The claw feet, as always, show scratches and dings from chairs hitting up against them. And the top has a number of scratches and discolored areas whose origins or reasoning Im unsure about. Frankly, if youre looking for something pristine, this might be a good option for... purchase with a plan to refinish the top. It has 4 leaves, 2 with skirts that are original, and 2 without skirts that match beautifully, but Im not sure if theyre original. It's 54" in diameter without any leaves, and stretches to 94" with all 4 leaves. It can be used with 2 leaves and the base still together. To use all 4 leaves, the base needs to be split.ConditionThe antique furniture Im offering is in wonderful condition for its age, but one cannot expect it to be without the wear and character imparted by over 100 years of use. I will always call out any obvious damage, but will not describe every small scratch or ding.
