You are bidding on a vintage circa 1930's original porcelain sign advertising "GOOD OLD TOOTH PICK PLUG" tobacco in red, white & blue! On the left side is the caption "LET'S TELL EVERYBODY" above three dancing tobacco plants in top hats, a banner at the bottom reads "FIRST CHOICE and the FINE FLAVOR LASTS". Measures 11 3/4" x 23 3/4". In our 40+ years of buying and selling antiques we have never seen another example of this great old sign! Excellent col...ors and graphics on this highly collectible item in as found condition. There are a couple areas at the top that are rusted into the sign 3/4" and 1" deep, roughness to the edges, top right corner is slightly angled from loss and there is a 1/2" spot rusted in on the right side, two spots of chipping and rust above the figures, all as shown. Remarkably, the graphics and lettering have escaped the damage for the most part. Please study the photos as they are a part of the description. Fresh out of a collector's estate and offered here for the first time at no reserve. Payment in full is expected within 48 hours of close of auction. Shipping cost includes insurance.
