offeredis a very nice early 1920's art nouveau sterling silver enamel emil brenk pocket strikercigar lighter. the 935 solid silver striker features a wonderful blue glass enamel initial area and border on front with engine turned design. the mechanism is a dual long flint strip along each side edge with pull out"torch wand". the underside is marked EB 935 - forsilver content with model number. emil brenk was an important maker of luxury striker lightersand this model was made in the lo...uis kuppenheim workshop.kuppemheim made many of the 1920's - early 1930's enamel andsterling silver dunhill and sarastro lighters. i have shown similar striker models in the strichfeuerzeuge striker lighters book by urs batschmann. the last photo is a picture of emil brenk. the quality silver striker measures about 1-7/8" tall x 1-3/8" wide and is in good used untested condition. thebody has old aged tarnish that was difficult to completely clean. there are small dents and dings - mostly on back. the 2 aged flints can be removed. the silver edges where flint goes have typical bents which can be corrected. the striker would require 2 new longflint strips and new wick for use. a few tiny chips in blue enamel do not detract. overall - a showy quality emil brenk 1920's enamel sterling silver striker for your lighter collection.
