Awarded by this medal according to decree of President of USSR №375 from July 25, 1990.

This awarding is very interesting, because 20-years old sailor received this medal in 2nd half of 1990 year – on of the latest awardings in USSR, medals with applied serial number in such young age!
Comrade GRIGORASH served as senior boiler operator of sea minesweeper “Tyrbinist”, as crew performed missions of protecting of soviet shipping in Persian Gulf in period June – December, 1989. Showed himself as highly disciplined, executive, responsible soldier. Has special knowledge and abilities, actively participate in public life of department and ship. Excellent worker of combat and political training. Secured accident-free operation. Material part know well and serves correctly. There is no failure of material part. With exemplary attitude contributed to implementation of assigned tasks to ship.
Agreed with secretary of Komsomol organization of sea minesweeper “Tyrbinist” leading seaman SLUZHYK I.I.
Was considered at meeting of permanent validation commission of 92 brigade of minesweepers (Protocol №1 from January 2, 1990)
CONCLUSION: For bravery and courage, showed during performing of governmental task of protection of soviet shipping in Persian Gulf – worthy of awarding by medal of Ushakov.
