The Zippo is in used condition and was previously owned by a Navy Vietnam War Veteran. It is marked USS Douglas H Fox DD 779 & on the bottom Zippo. The USS Douglas H Fox DD 779 was an Allen M. Sumner class Destroyer named after Lt. Commander Douglas H. Fox the commander of the USS Barton who went down with his ship when it was torpedoed and sunk at Guadalcanal in 1942. The ship was commissioned... in 1944 and decommissioned in 1973. The saw action in WWII, Korea and Vietnam Wars. The lighter shows wear with scratches, dings and tarnish. The top lid is loose and attached well. It was loved and used well by the veteran. The lighter could use some cleaning.
