Printed for the Company of STATIONERS, MDCLXXXIV.The volumes measure 15"x9". the first volume has a portrait frontispiece + A-f2 + 895 +[1] pages, there are two folding plates and a single leaf plate. The second volume has [2] + 551 +[1] +131 pages. There are further engravings in the text throughout both volumes. Wing F2036 lacking the third volume ('The continuation...') but otherwise complete.The volumes are bound in worn contemporary full calf, the boards are detached, the texts themselves are well bound together. The endpapers have an owner's inscription. There is some light marginal browning / foxing throughout both volumes with some light staining in places, some of the pages edges are a little tatty and there are a few marginal tears. The first folding plate in volume one has a loss and some tears, the right hand part is partially detached, the second folding plate has some repaired tears along the creases and a tear without loss.
