This CDV has been identified as being, Captain Plympton A. Mead 111th Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteers. This CDV was found along with other CDV's of Pennsylvania civil war soldiers inside of an old P.A. photo album that was found in Charleston, SC. The CDV has no back mark, but is in excellent shape. Mead is wearing a bowtie commonly seen worn by civil war soldiers in photographs. The last photo attached is a known photo of Mead in uniform. Promoted from Sergeant to Second Lieutenant, January 15, 1863; to First Lieutenant October 16, 1864; to Captain June 7, 1865. Wounded at Lookout Mountain Georgia, November 27, 1863.
