Description/Interesting Notes: An incredible example of bicolor tanzanite from the famed Merelani Hills in Tanzania!!! This specimen consists of a sharp, complex crystal of tanzanite that exhibits gorgeous violet to blue color with a stunning pink termination!!! This crystal exhibits sharp, glassy faces with complex... detail and translucent to gemmy clarity!!! The main section of the crystal exhibits rich, violet purple color that changes to an intense blue when viewed on edge (this dramatic pleochroism, that is so characteristic of this prized material, is much more pronounced and apparent in person)!!! This specimen is complete and in terrific condition!!! Very showy and unique in person - a fantastic example of this highly prized gem species!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
