Description/Interesting Notes: A unique and showy example of precious opal from this classic Australian locale!!! This specimen consists of a mass of white precious opal that exhibits incredible, rainbow colored fire throughout!!! What makes this specimen special, and particularly attractive in person, is that the entire specimen is comprised of sharply defined, concentric bands of INTENSE rainbow colored fire!!! It looks like some kind of magical bar code!!! The specimen is much whiter in person with a slight translucence when backlit (it is difficult to capture such a dynamic specimen in the pics, however the specimen is a nice bright white in person - however I had to take the pics with less intense lighting otherwise the opal is too bright and washed out)!!! The fire is much more intense and dramatic in person - the sharp ribbons of iridescent rainbow color make for an amazing specimen indeed!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
