This is theextremely rare medal plaque made especially for the SwedishContingent for the 5th World Jamboree. This plaque wasnever for sale and couldn’t be ordered by the Swedish participants.It was intended as honorary gift for VIPs at the jamboree and Ithink it was also given to the adult members of the Swedishcontingent as a token of gratitude for their contributions. Just like1947, for which jamboree an almost identical medal was made with onlythe year changed. For the jamboree in... 1933 a similar but differentdesign was made. No other jamborees but these three had Swedishjamboree medals made. I have shown it to several jamboreeparticipants who took part in the jamboree as boy scouts and theywere all equally surprised. They had never seen it and they didn’tknow it existed! A few copies were also made in sterling silver, intended as gifts for the very extreme VIP:s like the camp chief, royalties etc! Size is 36 mm by 53 mm.
